Get Rich Quick?

There are so many websites, e-books, articles and other materials online that promise people that they can get rich quick overnight that it is hard to tell what to believe. If you have a concept that will make you millions overnight that is certainly admirable and you deserve some congratulations. However, for most people, the truth is more likely that you will have to work your way into it slowly.

Many people are satisfied with scraping data from existing websites. Not that anybody really cares, but for me this is a good thing. With the recent additions I made to my article content online I am getting fifty to sixty downloads every day. Even if not all of those people are quite honest about things and remove my links, the jumps in both my traffic and my ratings have been notable.
These people have the capacity to amass very large amounts of data in a very short time for their sites. RSS and other technologies allow them to select the type of data that they need for each particular site as well. However, unless they actually spend time to sort through all of the data, they will have no way to be certain that all of it meets the requirements of their advertisers. It only takes one black spot or one sandboxed site to bring an entire account into question.

Once a web site has been sandboxed by the search engines your best bet is probably going to be going ahead and shutting that site down and starting all over again from scratch. While that may seem like an extreme solution, there are very few comeback stories from people who have managed to bring their sites back out after this has occurred.

For other people, setting everything up so that it becomes at least one of the few true authority sites is preferable to this idea. In this instance they will gather as much information as they possibly can and usually either write new materials or rewrite PLR articles to fill their site with vast amounts of information for their web site. This method may last longer but unless the web owner has a substantial amount of money to invest, the process can take much longer to complete.

One benefit of this is that over the course of time they will begin to develop natural traffic and more natural links for better results and ranking on the search engines. While it is a slower process, it does have benefits as well. Another viable means of making money with your writing is through the use of e-zines or newsletters.

Whether through a paid membership or a free service, these mailings can be used for two very important aspects of Internet Marketing. The first and most obvious benefit would be the resulting fully-opted and targeted mailing list that would accompany such an offering. The second benefit is a substantial increase in return traffic to the website.

Many of these newsletters and e-zines offer only partial materials in the actual content and then ask the reader to go back to the web site if they prefer to read the entire article. This increase in traffic is great for page ranking and possibly for sales on the website itself. No matter what you want to accomplish with your web page however, it cannot be done without writing.

Whether you are looking for long-term residual and passive income or short term or intermittent bursts of cash, it can be accomplished using nothing more than the written word. How well any individual will succeed will ultimately depend on how willing and capable they are of spending some of their time every day, writing.
