A neat feature is a monitor switch on the side of the earcup which mutes the music to let in outside sound should you so desire. The Sony MDR-NC50 are a bulky pair of headphones which may not appeal to some users, they may also be unsuitable for smaller MP3 players that do not have sufficient power to drive them, making the sound seem quieter than it should. However, these noise cancelling headphones are an excellent buy and are comparable to competitors at much higher price points.

The Sony MDR-NC11 in ear noise cancellation headphones give a great combination of economical design and remarkable performance. These earbuds offer fantastic noise cancellation across all frequency ranges and they are very comfortable to wear, lightweight with excellent sound quality. At a price of around £60, the Sony MDR-NC11 in ear noise cancellation headphones are great value and come recommended.
